Well, that is your interpretation of that scripture. That’s your opinion as to what it is saying.
Fact, if you have to say that you’ve missed the point and the Bible has become like Play-doe…. (we can all shape it the way we want to.) And once we start making it say what we want it to say we make ourselves, and our opinions the shaping agents in place of God.
That is not what was intended when God spoke the Bible into existence over a 1500 year span of time, using different people with a range of personalities to write it. It is intended to shape you, to shape your life, to make you something new, something He can say is good.
Do you study the Bible so it can shape your life or so you can shape it to Fit your life and your opinions.
Here’s Peter’s answer to that question:
” but know this first of all, that no prophecy of Scripture is a matter of ones own interpretation, for no prophecy was made by an act of human will, but men moved by the Holy Spirit spoke from God” 2 Peter 2:20-21
The people that had the privilege of writing down the words of scripture were not even writing about their opinions. (human will) They were writing what God wanted them to.
It’s time to quit molding it into what we want and allow The Bible to mold us into what God wants us to be.
