Prayer Take 9/40

Our church praying for 40 days for our Take It to the Streets Ministry. Each day will have a scripture reading, a list things to pray for and I will write a quick devotional thought from the day’s passage. The schedule is not original with us but is built off of YouVersion’s Bible App.

-2 Chronicles 7:14

Our land needs to be healed.  There is no doubt of that.  It seems for the past few years ( Im not making a political comment here so don’t confuse it) that our society morally has gotten a bit worse. The fact is we need God more than we ever have as a nation and as a community of believers.

The question is… when does God step in?

When does God step in and fix this mess?

It is when you and I, the people who are called by His name humble ourselves and pray…

When we humble ourselves and cry out to Him and repent of our own sins, our own short comings and we ask Him to heal our land.

For our local community, our church is central to this revival.  To see people in our community, placed on the road of healing comes down to our prayers.  Our humbling ourselves as this passage speaks of.

– So today our main request is for God to search our hearts and reveal any wicked way that is in us, and when He does confess that sin and make a decision to turn from it.  Then we can ask for Him to heal our land.

– Pray for Take 5.2 – as we prepare to give the gospel to our community this Christmas Season

– Pray for Take 13 – our Traveling Trunk or Treat that we will be able to make positive contacts in our community and see people not only come to our church as a result of that connection but also see many come to know Jesus as their Savior.
